Pedro Aznar is a bass player, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer.
Born in 1959 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he heard "Revolver" by the Beatles at age seven,
and the musician inside him came to life.
By 1978, Pedro had formed the rock group Serú Girán with Charly García, David Lebón and Oscar Moro, perhaps the most important group in the history of rock music in Argentina. By 1983, Pedro had joined the American jazz group Pat Metheny Group, touring the world several times over and winning three Grammy awards with Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby and Paul Wertico.
Pedro has recorded numerous solo albums and soundtracks, fusing rock and jazz with the folk music of South America. He has also performed in over 100 recordings and concerts of other musicians from Argentina and around the world. His most recent project is "Aznar-Lebón," a double CD documenting live performances with David Lebón in the Teatro ND Ateneo of Buenos Aires in March of 2007.
